KFW Housing Finance

HFHT in collaboration with Frankfurt School of Business and Management (FSBM) within Housing Finance project of KFW, delivered ITA to four leading financial institutions such as IMON, Arvand, Eskhata Bank and First MicroFinance Bank (FMFB). The ITA is designed to help partner financial institutions (PFIs) to build their capacity so they make best use of loan they received from KFW for development and disbursement of housing loans.  All four PFIs have received two cycle of Training for Loan Officers designed to build capacity of FIs employees to deliver housing loan products. The LOs training is two day training focused on housing and energy efficiency (EE) and consist both of both theoretical and practical sessions that are delivered by HFHT master trainer, engineer, energy expert, and with an involvement of local EE product producers and suppliers.

Suring the second phase of the project based on the monitoring results and observation HFHT developed electronic construction calculator designed to help loan officers to develop and/or check construction budgets. To present and transfer know-how HFHT developed new training model and so far delivered this customized training four all for financial institutions. The LOs training is one day training where all participants practice preparation of estimations using electronic calculator for each most common type of interventions such as foundations, walls, roofing, floor, doors and windows and other finishing works. The training was provided by HFHT master trainer and engineer.

Since the start of the project more than 300 LOs from four FIs have been trained in Sugd and GBAO oblasts as well as in Dushanbe and these partners disbursed housing improvement loans to more than 15000 families.
